The past few years have been difficult for everyone, but we know that it’s been especially challenging for the patients and families we care for at Dorothy House, for some of whom it has been their last year.

We have all lived through a time where many of the normal avenues to explore and process our emotions have not been available. Without the chance to make final memories, say goodbyes attend funerals or meet with friends many people are encountering prolonged grief.

We wanted to recognise this by capturing the voices and experiences of everyone in the Dorothy House community (patients, their families, carers, staff and volunteers) to create a lasting legacy of this time.

As the hospice covering Bath and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset our promise is that you are not alone. We’ve got you. As you face the end of your life, we’re here to make sure that you - and those closest to you - feel seen, supported and truly cared for. And, as part of our community, we work to help everyone better understand and live with death and dying.
